I wonder how many regular users on Newground.com are bartenders. If there are any, i have a lot more respect for them. I went to a club a few days ago for my Ex-girlfriends birthday. It was at the Club Infinity, in Buffalo NY. Now, this place is small...and packed with people. I got in the club, and started towards the bar to get a drink, weaving my way through a mass of people. I finally get to the bar, with minimal alcohol spilled on my leather coat, and order a Mikes. I first noticed, that there was two bartenders, one guy, and one hot chick, and these two had AMAZING sync. Not that i remember the exact moves they did, but bottles were flying left and right, and drinks were being handed out in no time.
I get the bartenders attention, and i order a mike's hard lemonade. First off, i'm screaming at him from across the bar, because i can barely hear myself over the crappy live rap music they had on the stage. He gets a Mikes out of the fridge, and tosses it to me. Luckily, the karma ghosts were on my side, because the bottle fell a little short, and i hopped on te bar on my stomach to catch it. That was pretty much the highlight of my night, because i got a nice applause for my skill.
So anyway, i'm hanging out with my friends, having a good time, and getting a couple more drinks. The whole time, i kept watching the bartenders thinking, this looks like a fun job, that i know i couldn't possibly handle. So, in honor of bartenders across the Newgrounds, i raise my drink to you.

Last night was my cousin Jamie's wedding. The ceremony was fantastic, and everyone had a great time, even me! Though i've been sick as a dog for the past week.
Anyway, i though i would bring this topic up tonight, as many of us have lived through life, growing up with your cousins. Now, i have ALOT of cousins...let me see if i can get this straight...

Maggie, Ellen, Morgan
Kirsten, Justin, Chris
Michael, Sara, Jamie
Dan, Mike, Alex
John, Michael William
Tynan

Ok, and including me, these are the decendants of my aunts and uncles (7 aunts and uncles)
Now, i love them all dearly, and we've never had any sort of relationship turmoil between any of us.
I've experienced more in life with my three cousins, Daniel, Michael, and Alex. We're right about the same age, between early 20's to 26 (Dan).
Many of us, know that the Thanksgiving is coming up, and it's time again to meet up with distant relatives. And i was thinking about this during the wedding...I haven't seen my cousin Jamie in like, 8 months, and before that, it was like, 2 years. And here i am, sitting in a church, all dressed up for her wedding. It made me feel special that, i was invited.
It's tough growing up, and growing apart from family members. I know not everyone has that situation, but for some of us, seeing family outside your parents, brothers and sisters, really is special. It's a time when you can exchage conversations, hang out, and have fun!
So, when you go see your family this Thanksgiving, really tell them how much you love them, and even though you may be (X amount of miles/states away), you've always thinking of them, and wish them well.

Let's face it, anyone and everyone would much rather live in their own fantasy world, than the "Real World". A world where a person dreams are only limited to their imagination. Alas, we are forever bond to the harshness that is, reality.
Luckily, most of us in the world have an imagination, and have some sort of alternate form of entertainment, that we can use to, enjoy life a little more. For me, It's Dungeons & Dragons, and Neverwinter Nights. I'm on my computer more often now, being that i've graduated from college, and i've been spending more time creating my own little world with NWN. (If you've ever played Neverwinter Nights, you'll know that you can use the toolset program to make your very own servers.) nd that's basically what i've been doing as of late; Making my own world.
I have explored other realms of alternative entertainment. Such as Magic: The Gathering, Runescape (Briefly...) and other card/board games that i've grown up with over the years. But it seems i'm very fond with the flexibility of D&D. And now that it comes in a full-fledged PC game, with a sequal, and 4 expansion packs, the possibilities are limitless.
But every so often, i am forced back into the world of reality (most of the time for a productive reason), and have to do "Things", like, get a job, or...go to my cousins wedding or somthing.
Anyway, just remember, that there's always an escape from reality, just don't let it consume your life.

Most of us have learned that, when you stay up late...you wake up late, simple as that. Or, you stay up late, wake up (or are forced to wake up) at your usual time, and have to suffer through the day, fighting to stay consious. I've been experienceing this for the past month, and i am not a happy camper...
For the past month and a half, i worked at a haunted house, that was open from 6:30 pmto 1:00 am. I worked everyday (with one day off a week), for 5 consecutive weeks. So basically, my internal clock is set to Reickyavik', Russia. This is becoming a pain in the ass...because i'm basically sleeping through the day, when i could be going somewhere, or doing somthing, and WIDE AWAKE at night, every night, getting absolutly nothing done.

So, with that said, i've been working on a list of things to do, (feel free to copy this crap down, it may prove useful) Things that can help me/you, sleep better.

1.) No sugar 1 hour prior to sleep. Caffeine, Chocolate, Candy etc.
2.) Refrain from using any sort of sleep aid. If you feel that you're unhealthy because of your lack of sleep, talk to your doctor. Don't go to a pharmacy and buy some random sleep enducer, hoping you'll be all better the next day.
3.) Reduce the distractions. Meaning, if you leave your computer on, turn off any and all instant messengers off, turn the volume down, and leave the screen off.
4.) No strenuous activity prior to sleep. Activity increases the body's usage of ATP (Adreosontriphosphate) Energy cells, and causes the body to be more alert and aware for a long period of time. In other words (for non-doctors) Before you decide to go to sleep, sit on your lazy ass, and read a book or somthing.
5.) Stop using the computer, 2 hours before going to sleep. I know it seems stupid, and you may think "As soon as i'm done doing/watching/somthing on the computer, i'll just go right to sleep."
You can try, and you may succeed, but activity on the computer is also activity in the brain. Alot of electricity is going on when your sitting here, doing...whatever. So you need to let your mind relax for a bit before sleeping.
6.) Finally, eat healthy, and stay healthy. simple as that.

Well, i hope this Nightly Topic has helped you as much as it has helped me!

Time to go to sleep.

This being my first daily topic, i'll explain what the hell i'm doing, and why it matters to you (the reader)
Besides the facts that i have an ungodly amount of time to do, absolutely nothing productive, I figure i might as well excersize my brain a little bit, and discuss topics of moderate importance. These will be posted daily (I know, it's alot), and will feature a funny picture to animate what i'm jabbering about.

Today's topic: Remember our past time?

For a majority of you, you may recall a time when getting up at 7:00 in the morning was considered sleeping in, because you had to be up at 6:30 to catch the first cartoon of the day. Ahh yes...i do remember Saturday Morning Cartoons. How many toys i've bought (or demanded) from countless TV shows that i watched religiously. There wasn't a care in the world. No presidential debates to bitch about, no wars, terrorism, or out of control riots, just cartoons. Of all the classics that i watched over the years, i have a list of my personal favorite.

- Eek the Cat
- Bobby's World
- C bear and Jamal
- Animaniacs
- Digimon: Digital Monsters
- Power Rangers in Space
- Tom and Jerry
- Life with Louie
- The Tick
- Batman
- X-men (usually it was on at night for some reason)

If you were born before 1993, then i'm sure you remember FOXkids. To a kid, it was like "My god, they made this program just for ME!" Or that's what it felt like. Countless shows, that i absorbed into my memory, that i remember every so often. My favorite, is whenever i hear somthing (usually about me,) that i'm not supposed to hear, i imitate the classic "Louie Anderson's Father" Line
"I heard that..."

Remember kids....don't forget your past-time.
